Chris Rock and Megalyn Echikunwoke had a years-long relationship. Throughout their courtship, Rock occasionally shared sweet moments on Instagram, including Valentine’s Day selfies of the two he posted in 2018. Additionally, in 2019 Rock posted a photo of him and his then-partner posing on the Met Gala red carpet. There were times when things were reportedly getting serious between the duo, such as when the Daily Mail wrote that Echikunwoke was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger back in 2016.

After this, Echikunwoke shut down the rumors that she and Rock had plans to tie the knot. “Definitely not,” Echikunwoke told People when asked if she’d been sporting an engagement ring. She added, “I’ve never worn an engagement ring. This right here is my alleged engagement ring, which is obviously not an engagement ring so just an FYI. It’s a pearl. It’s not even a diamond.” Following four years of dating, Page Six reported that the couple eventually went their separate ways in early 2020. At the time, a source said Rock “wasn’t ready to settle down again” because of his previous divorce. Since this separation, Rock has experienced new romances.
