Geoff Tracy is a renowned restaurateur and chef, per Distractify. He has two restaurants named Chef Geoff’s, which are located in Washington D.C. His other restaurant, Lia’s, is not too far away from there. He opened the first Chef Geoff’s in 2000.
In a 2017 piece by Eater, Tracy discussed his professional success. He said, “It seems like yesterday and also 100 years ago. It’s definitely an accomplishment when you live through more than one lease term.” Keeping a restaurant afloat is no easy feat, which Tracy is well-aware of. While he’s closed some of his restaurants, Chef Geoff’s is still going strong. He shared, “I don’t think there’s a better time to be a diner in Washington. But there’s never been a more competitive time to be a restaurant owner because there are so many.”
