Following her stint in “Laguna Beach,” Morgan Smith pursued her passion for business and fashion. She’s the founder and CEO of Minnow Swim, a children’s swimwear company. The brand also has men’s and women’s clothing. According to Smith’s LinkedIn page, she founded the line in 2016. In a 2017 Q&A with Buru, Smith shared details about Minnow Swim. Referring to her design inspiration, she said, “I would say it leans more European (French pinafore /Italian bandeau). I appreciate classic and polished but still want to keep the collection fresh, current and playful incorporating function and soft fabrics for their skin.”

Creating a fashion line was a dream come true for Smith, who always had her sights set on starting her own company. In an interview with Weezie, she revealed, “I started off my career in the corporate fashion world in NY and LA, but always felt I would do my own thing one day, it was really about waiting for the right moment and authentic idea.” It’s clear Smith loves what she does, and the former reality star has found inspiration for Minnow Swim from her own family. In a 2021 interview with Fenimore Lane, she shared, “My children are so integrated into my work, the brand feels truly authentic to our life.”
