The watch was issued until 7 p.m. for Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kendall, Will, Boone, Bureau, Carroll, DeKalb, Henry, Jo Daviess, Kane, Lake, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Putnam, Stephenson, Whiteside and Winnebago counties in Illinois and Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Kenosha, Lafayette, Marquette, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Sauk, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties in Wisconsin. The storms will arrive in Chicago around dinner time with gusty winds possible, but nearing 7:30 p.m., they will likely weaken and lose their severe threat, McGinnis said.
