Mother Georgia Lyall (pictured with her now orphaned five-year-old son) was shot dead by her former partner, ex-bikie Luke Noormets

The grieving family of a mother who was killed in a suspected murder-suicide have raised more than $45,000 for her now orphaned son.

It’s understood violent former bikie Luke Noormets, 33, shot his ex-girlfriend and mother of his only child Georgia Lyall, 32, in the head on Thursday.

The beloved mother was killed inside her South Guildford, east Perth, home at about 10.40am.

Noormets’ body was found some 30 kilometres away inside his burning Innaloo unit, west Perth, shortly after at 11.30am.

WA Police believe the recently released former Rebels member killed Ms Lyall and made a triple-zero call before setting his unit alight and taking his own life.

Ms Lyall’s shocked loved ones created a GoFundMe on Friday to help support her mother, who will now raise the ex-couple’s orphaned five-year-old son.

‘On Thursday the world lost a beautiful, bright and bubbly soul in Georgia Lyall,’ the fundraiser reads.

‘Fiercely loyal, independent, funny and caring, there wasn’t a day that went by where Georgia didn’t make a positive impact on someone’s life.

‘Our Georgia was selfishly and devastatingly murdered in her own home and those close to her are now faced with the crushing reality that life will never be the same.

‘Georgia leaves behind her beautiful, vivacious and loving son. Georgia was an extremely dedicated mum who was doing an amazing job raising him on her own.’

The GoFundMe has raised more than $45,300 from over 480 donations.

Several donors described Ms Lyall as ‘beautiful’ and wrote how she impacted their lives.

‘Georgia is one of the nicest people I knew. Cared about her family deeply. I am so very sad,’ one person wrote.

‘I have no words, absolutely devastating, such a beautiful girl,’ another said.

About one woman is murdered every week by her current or former partner in Australia, domestic violence organisation Our Watch reports.

Western Australia has the highest domestic violence-related female assault rate of any state with 1,254 assaults reported for every 100,000 women in 2021.

Luke Noormets was previously sentenced to seven years imprisonment for ‘cold-blooded torture’ during his time with the Rebels.

The court heard Noormets lured a drug dealer to an address in Ashfield, east Perth, on June 12, 2017.

When the dealer arrived, Noormets hit him across the head, stuffed him into a car and drove him to a nearby warehouse in Bayswater.

Noormets reportedly tortured his victim for an agonising 13 hours, during which he bashed, waterboarded and set him on fire.

In May, 2021, Noormets fought for his release with his lawyers arguing new ‘compelling and powerful evidence’ should overturn his conviction.

The application was denied but a social media post in December that year showed Noormets out of jail and spending time with his son.

Ms Lyall and Noormets’ deaths are still being investigated.

It’s understood Noormets did not have a gun licence.
