President Donald Trump is celebrating his first 100 days back in the Oval Office with a rally in Michigan on Tuesday night

Voters in the critical swing state of Michigan delivered some mixed reviews when describing President Donald Trump’s first 100 days, some celebrating his policy, others bashing him as a liar.

The Republican is heading to the Detroit area on Tuesday to celebrate his first 100 days in office.

The president has made an event of the anniversary of his first few months back in the Oval Office by bringing MAGA stars onstage and touting successes on the border and tariffs.

He celebrated his administration’s quick start; they have, so far, made good on immigration, economic and labor reform.

Though those walking around the streets of downtown Detroit Tuesday afternoon ahead of Trump’s celebratory rally just outside of town warned the rapid changes have been unsettling – a sentiment reflected in recent polling.

Others, however, celebrated the president’s early achievements like his aggressive deportation campaign that has already ejected over 65,000 illegal aliens, many of whom have criminal records.

‘He has said that he’s going to do some change. He’s going to change the status quo. And he’s definitely seems like he’s trying,’ Tom told DailyMail.com sitting in a park in downtown.

‘The corruption, the money that’s being wasted. You know, it definitely appears that they’re making a difference,’ he said.

Tom, who graded Trump with an ‘A-‘ for his first 100 days, was particularly impressed with the 78-year-old’s handling of illegal immigration and national defense.

Kevin, a Detroit father, gave Trump a ‘B’ because ‘he pretty much do what he wants to do.’

‘And I can relate to that because I do what I want to do,’ he said cracking a smile.

But not all reactions were so supportive and the majority of respondents delivered poor grades for the two-time president.

The flagging sentiment was also found in the latest Daily Mail/J.L. Partners poll examining Trump’s approval rating.

Trump’s approval fell nine points from 54 percent – when his popularity was at a record high – to 45 percent this week, the survey found.

‘I give him a D,’ an older man, Rube, told DailyMail.com. ‘Seems like he’s always a bullsh***er.’

‘He’s going to solve something in one day? I’m waiting for that, you know? I’m waiting for anyone to solve complicated problems in one day,’ he barbed.

Another local, Zach, joked that he wasn’t sure whether to grade Trump or his close confidant and DOGE leader Elon Musk.

‘Trump and Elon, right? Elon’s with Trump or something. I’ll give them a C,’ he concluded.

‘I haven’t really noticed the difference between Biden and Trump so far,’ he continued. ‘But I’ll give them a C, because, you know, my life’s about the same.’

‘We’ll see what the next 100 days brings,’ he added.

‘I think that the tools he’s using are not the right tools in order to accomplish some of the change I think we all want to see,’ Tori, 61, a longtime Detroit resident, told DailyMail.com as she walked her family’s dog.

She likened Trump’s approach to policy change to taking a hammer to a problem that requires a scalpel.

Tori gave the president a ‘D’ for his performance thus far, primarily due to the president’s attacks on inclusivity.

‘The best parts of who we are as people are that we are inclusive and we grow and flourish as a result of that,’ she said disappointedly. ‘We’re not seeing that.

The worst ratings came from Mikayla, a duel American-Canadian citizen and Michael, who works in ministry.

Both of them gave the president the poorest rating they could, delivering the Republican deserves an ‘F’ for his performance.

The dual citizen ripped the president for his conduct towards America’s northern neighbor.

‘I don’t like how he speaks about other people in a really hateful way,’ she explained, adding ‘I’m hoping that the price of eggs gonna go down.’

Michael said his distaste with the president comes on religious grounds.

‘God does not like ugly nor lying,’ he said with a pastoral tone. ‘Trump is just a habitual liar.’

‘It’s foolishness, you can’t trust what he says,’ he added.
