The new “Vinnies Finds” platform offers a treasure trove of curated pieces from high-end brands to more accessible ones.
Shoppers can grab a pre-loved bargain while still making a difference with every buy.
“That next generation really want something unique and different … but also they’re much more sustainable,” stylist Donny Galella said.
“It’s probably not the face of Vinnies that people know,” St Vincent de Paul Society NSW chief executive Yolanda Saiz said.
“Each item is given an individual barcode so once it’s ordered online it’s really easy for us to find and we pick and pack that very same day.”
Vinnies retail started in Sydney with the first shop opening in an old paddock shed in Newtown in 1922.
Despite the new online offering, the roughly 600 outlets across the country are not at risk.
And the charity’s purpose hasn’t changed
“People at the margins, the most vulnerable, the most disadvantaged, they’re the people we help,” Saiz said.
