Victoria Justice addresses longtime rumor that she’s ‘jealous’ of Ariana Grande

Victoria Justice is saying “Thank U, Next” to rumors she’s “jealous” of her “Victorious” co-star Ariana Grande.

The “Zoey 101” alum finally reacted to the longstanding speculation in an interview E! News posted via Instagram Monday — despite not wanting “to talk about this [topic] anymore.”

“We were both like, ‘This is so stupid,’” Justice said of hearing the rivalry rumors for the first time more than 10 years ago.

Justice, now 30, said Grande, now 29, texted her at the time and they both blasted the “narrative that was created of” them “not being friends” with each other.

“I feel like it’s this constant story of the media and people wanting to put people against each other and it’s just so not even relevant right now,” Justice continued. “This is so dumb. … This is so stupid.”

Justice and Grande played Tori Vega and Cat Valentine, respectively, on the Nickelodeon sitcom, which ran from 2010 to 2013.

Reports of the women’s alleged rivalry started circulating in 2010 after a group video promoting their show went viral.

When Elizabeth Gillies, who played Jade West on “Victorious,” gushed about Grande’s singing ability, Justice chimed in.

“I think we all sing,” the “Eye Candy” star clarified with her arms crossed, which many social media users deemed a “jealous” reaction.

After the series came to an end, Grande booked a spinoff with “iCarly” alum Jennette McCurdy, “Sam & Cat.”

While the spinoff only lasted one season, Grande’s singing career took off that same year with the release of her debut album, “Yours Truly.”

She has since gone on to win two Grammys and is known as one of the biggest female artists in the world.

In March 2021, Justice told “Chicks in the Office” podcast listeners that she and the “Side to Side” singer continue to be “supportive” of each other.

“I love Ariana, and she’s killing it right now,” she explained at the time. “We text. It’s really cool. So, everything’s all good.”
