There was 53mm of rain recorded in just 30 minutes at Round Mountain.

Vision showed wind moving furniture outside residents’ homes and several trees were felled by destructive winds.

One tree fell in Brookwater, destroying a car and narrowly avoiding a house and people.

Hail blanked front yards in Springfield as the sudden thunderstorm ripped through the city.

More than 14,000 have been left without power in the state’s south east as a result of the storm.
