A ute being driven on three wheels by an allegedly drunk driver has sped through the streets of Sydney’s north.
Locals say the scraping of the car’s wheel rim was “deafening”, with smoke also pouring from the spot where the front left tyre was about to fall off.
The driver, believed to be in his 50s, was first reported to police, after the owner of a Toyota Prado was side-swiped at Wheeler Heights on Sydney’s northern beaches just after 7pm last night.
It continued on for two kilometres and down steep winding roads until the driver lost his tyre on Mactier Street.
