“Hi, so I know this is going to sound completely insane, but I was downtown and I was just walking home from work. There is, like a baby kangaroo with a diaper on, like, wandering around main street,” the caller said.

Police responded to that 911 call, with body cam capturing what happened.

The animal can be seen hopping around streets in the dark.

The red kangaroo was allegedly someone’s pet.

The kangaroo was eventually recovered by its owner, and was not harmed.

It’s legal to own a red kangaroo in Colorado, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

An officer that responded to the call said, “This was one of the best calls of my career so far.”

The department posted about the incident on their Facebook, saying, “Who knew kangaroo wrangling was part of the job?”
