Police have launched an urgent search to locate an 11-year-old boy who vanished in Brisbane yesterday afternoon.

The boy was last seen around 1.30pm on Inala Avenue, Durack.

He is described as approximately 130cm tall, brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a green and gold polo shirt and green shorts.

Police are appealing to the boy, or anyone with information about his whereabouts, to come forward.
