Paramedics freed them all.

The older woman suffered a back injury and the younger woman had multiple injuries.

Both were in a serious but stable condition in hospital tonight.

Neighbours said it sounded like the tree might have been struck by lightning.

NSW Ambulance Inspector Carolyn Parish from said the trio were “very lucky” because of the way the tree fell.

While the weather improved on Sunday, Sydney has been smashed by wild storms since the middle of last week.
