Two women have been rushed to hospital after the driver of a car that crashed into a daycare centre reportedly suffered a medical episode.
The Mazda ploughed into a hedge outside the daycare centre at Burdekin Court, in Wattle Grove in Sydney’s south-west, at about 5.40pm on Thursday.
The 25-year-old female driver reportedly suffered a medical episode behind the wheel moments before the crash. No children were injured.
The driver and her 78-year-old female passenger both suffered minor injuries and were momentarily trapped inside the vehicle.
Emergency services freed the women and rushed both to Liverpool Hospital.
A NSW Police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia officers are still investigating what may have caused the incident.
‘The building structure was damaged, however there were no reports of any other persons being injured,’ the spokeswoman said.
‘Investigations have commenced into the circumstances of the crash.’

Images from the scene showed the black hatchback beside an exterior wall of the daycare centre after it crashed through a hedge.
The car had crossed over a public footpath and the lawn before it crashed.
Several hedges and plants in front of the centre were damaged in the incident.
