Two more children have died after a house fire yesterday morning in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Emergency services were called to the burning Harristown home at about 12.30am yesterday.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze.

A body, believed to be that of a nine-year-old boy, was found inside. The body is yet to be formally identified.

Last night, two more children, girls aged four and seven, died in hospital from injuries sustained during the blaze.

A 36-year-old woman remains in a critical condition in hospital. She is under police guard.

A 34-year-old man, an 18-year-old man, and an 11-year-old boy managed to escape the fire.

The house remains a crime scene and police are treating the fire as suspicious.

They are not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident.
