Two men were mysteriously shot in what police believe is a targeted attack in south-west Sydney.

Police were called to a shop in Claymore about 9.30am today, where a man suffering injuries to his torso sought medical help.

Shortly later, police received another call that a man was found with gunshot wounds to his head and torso at the nearby Highfield Park on Proctor Way.

Both men were treated by paramedics before they were taken to hospital in unknown conditions.

Police have established a crime scene and begun investigations.

“Initial inquiries have led police to believe the incident was targeted,” police said.
