Two men have been hospitalised after a police pursuit ended with a car flipped on its side in Sydney’s south-west.

Police first tried to stop the Toyota Corolla on Hart Street in Warwick Farm at 4.30am today.

The car allegedly failed to stop for police and a pursuit began.

Police followed the car along Bridge Street in Liverpool before the car crashed into a shop front on Macquarie Street and flipped onto its side.

Two men, aged 18 and 22, became trapped in the car and had to climb out of the passenger side window to get out.

They were arrested at taken to Liverpool Hospital to treat minor injuries.

They remain under police guard at the hospital.
