Two girls, 9 and 11, shot at Brooklyn park by scooter-riding suspects

Two girls, 9 and 11, were shot and wounded inside a Brooklyn park on Monday night by scooter-riding suspects, according to police and sources.

The young victims were in a park on Dean Street near Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville when gunshots rang out just after 9 p.m., according to cops.

The 11-year-old was hit in the back and the other girl was shot in the leg, sources said.

They were both taken by private means to a local hospital, where they are listed in stable condition, the NYPD said.

Sources said the shooters were riding scooters.

No arrests were immediately reported.
