Moment two dognappers corner woman’s service dog Jack in her front yard before bundling him into their car – weeks after man approached her and claimed the German shepherd belonged to his friend

Two dognappers nabbed a 66-year-old California woman’s 110-pound service dog from her front yard before taking off in their getaway car.
The devastated dog owner, Lisa Hartouni said when she stepped into her house to get her German shepherd Jack some doggie treats the pooch was gone.
Hartouni, who relies on a motorized scooter to get around, said the pair had just returned from their daily dog walk, KTLA News reported.
The harrowing ordeal happened on Saturday outside of Hartouni’s townhouse located on Orange Avenue and Anaheim Street in Long Beach, California .

The assailants were dressed in black with one of the perpetrators wearing a shirt with the words, ‘Long Beach Certified.’
On Monday, the heartbroken owner posted a photo of Jack sitting on a leather recliner on the Lakewood and Long Beach Lost and Found Pets hoping someone will recognize him and bring him home.
‘He is not aggressive, very curious, loves treats and will come when called by his name Jack. He is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with shots.’ Hartouni said,

Weeks before the brazen abduction, Hartouni had been approached by an unidentified male while she was out with her dog. The man claimed that her shepherd belonged to a friend of his, and then the man began to trail her.
Hartouni believes that she was being ‘watched.
‘He saw the dog and for some reason wanted the dog. I don’t think it was a friend’s dog. It was an excuse, a made-up story,’ she said, the news outlet reported.
Days before the doggie abduction, a neighbor’s security camera caught two men in separate cars pull up to Hartouni’s townhouse and corner the pooch.
Since Jack has been missing, neighbors have rallied to try and help the devastated dog owner find her four-legged friends. Flyers have been posted in and around the area.
Hartouni hopes that someone will come forward and bring her boy Jack back to his loving home.
She explained that she didn’t need the person’s name or number, she just pleaded to ‘just take him somewhere safe.’
The Long Beach Police Department is also investigating the case.
