Two people have died in a house fire in Melbourne’s east this morning.

Firefighters were called to the home on Glenvale Road in Ringwood at 4am after the house caught alight.

Two people who were inside the home at the time of the blaze were killed. They have not yet been identified.

Firefighters remain at the scene along with police investigators.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
