Two men have died and a woman has been taken to hospital after a boat capsized off of a beach on South Australia’s Mid Coast.

The incident happened off of a beach near Point Connor, just south of Beachport, about 11.30am (12pm AEST).

Police and SA Ambulance crews were called to reports of three people unresponsive on the shore, according to SA Police.

Two men aged 82 and 69 were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 59-year-old woman has been taken to hospital.

All three people are from the nearby town of Millicent.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing with the assistance of the Water Operations Unit.

There are no suspicious circumstances.

Police will be preparing a report for the Coroner.
