Two bodies have been found at a beach popular for rock fishing in Sydney’s east.

About 11.10am today, emergency services were called to Little Bay Beach in Little Bay.

Police found a body near the rocks, with a second body found around 90 minutes later.

Other items were found on the rocks, police said.

Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended and commenced a search.

Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses.

Neither of the people has been formally identified.
