A woman has died after she allegedly entered a home in the early hours of the morning before being restrained by residents.

Police were called to a duplex on Partridge Place in the Gold Coast suburb of Tugun, Queensland, at 1:40am on Tuesday.

A woman, aged in her 30s, had entered the duplex, which was not her home.

A scuffle then occurred between her and the occupants of the property and she went into cardiac arrest, according to police.

Emergency services attempted to revive the woman but she died at the scene.

Daily Mail Australia have reached out to Queensland Police for comment.

More to come.
