One of the victims of a crash which killed three people was a grandfather on his way to a wedding, police say.
Bishop, who was heading to Brisbane for the event, was married with two children and five grandchildren.
His family said he would “help anyone in need”.
“Our family is absolutely devastated,” they said in a statement.
“Our hearts go out to the other victim’s families and the first responders in this horrific tragedy.”
Police are treating the crash as a domestic violence incident involving a young couple and an allegedly stolen car, and are trying to piece together what happened.
Bishop, from Hay Point near Mackay, was in his silver Nissan Navara dual cab ute with 25-year-old Gypsy Satterley.
Police have confirmed Satterley had been in a relationship with Rafferty Rolfe, 25, who was charged over the alleged armed robbery of a white Isuzu MU-X involved in the crash.
Hours after it was stolen, the Isuzu was seen trying to ram Bishop’s car.

The Isuzu and Navara crossed the road and collided with a third vehicle, a Great Wall ute driven by 38-year-old alpaca farmer Jessica Townley.
Satterley, Townley and Bishop were killed instantly.
Police earlier said Bishop may have been an innocent stranger who picked up Satterley but officers are still investigating.
Police say Rolfe was found “in the vicinity” of the Isuzu and was taken to hospital suffering a head wound.
He remains under police guard.
Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday held a mention for Rolfe’s case.
Rolfe was charged with armed robbery with actual violence, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful possession of a motor vehicle with intent to deprive, stealing, evasion and driving without a licence while disqualified as a repeat offender.
The defendant, who remains in Sunshine Coast University Hospital under police guard, did not appear in court.
