Tributes continue to flow for Perth mum Jennifer Petelczyc and her daughter Gretel who were shot dead in their own home by a 63-year-old man.
Police believe Mark Bombara was searching for his ex-partner before he fatally shot the pair at a home on Berkeley Crescent in Floreat on Friday.
On the weekend, friends and neighbours paid tribute to the slain mother and daughter.
“They’re the most gorgeous family and it’s absolutely just heartbreaking that this has happened,” said family friend Imogen Harrris.
She added the slain mum and her 18-year-old daughter were the “kindest, most light-hearted, beautiful people”.
Neighbour Claire Andrews remembered them as people who “always gave back to the community”.
Jennifer Petelczyc paid $5000 for a defibrillator to be installed outside her home for local people to use in a health emergency.
She also set on an online community chat group.
Police said Bombara, a licensed firearms owner, possessed at least 13 guns and took multiple guns to the Floreat home as he searched for his ex-wife.
Detectives say that Jennifer was a friend of the Bombara’s ex-partner.
9News understands the man’s former partner had sought refuge at her friend’s Floreat home.
Officers confirmed the man’s former partner was not at the home but the two women were “tragically” killed.
An investigation into their deaths is ongoing.
In the wake of the shootings, WA Premier Roger Cook is now considering a further tightening of gun laws in the state.
