Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift believe they’re “pros” at handling media attention.
During her Wednesday appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, the Chiefs’ star tight end and the mega pop star explained how they deal with their relationship being under a microscope — with Kelce adding that it took him longer to adjust.
“I don’t see a lot of things I’m of the firm belief… if you’re getting your feedback from the internet, anything you feel, your brain will internalize [and] anything you feed the internet will kill,” Swift, 35, said, adding that she’s dealt with the scrutiny being in the music industry.
“It took me a while to be a pro at it,” Kelce, 35, said. “The last thing I wanted to do was screw this up.”
The three-time Super Bowl winner added that Swift was “so real” about helping him navigate the attention that her world brings.
“Something can be about me, my name can be in the headline, and it can still be none of my business,” Swift said, saying that she appreciates how Kelce finds the discourse to be hilarious when they’re in the news.
“People might be doing too much, doesn’t mean I have to do a damn thing. We live in such a social media moment…I do detach from the internet in a huge way. have had my comments disabled on Instagram for like 10 years now. And I don’t miss it.
“My business is making music and taking care of my fans, and I have ways of monitoring what they want from me… everything else, it’s not my business, I have actual business that I need to run.”
