Tragedy after miner dies at site near Kambalda, Western Australia

A man has died a mine site with police and Work Safe investigators examining the cause his death. 

He died at the site located near the mining town of Kambalda, around 60km south of Kalgoorlie, in Western Australia on Tuesday. 

The Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety have confirmed the incident took place.

The industry regulator has not issued any details about how the man died at the mining site. 

Investigators from Work Safe WA and officers from WA Police are the mining site this morning to examine the circumstances that led to the death of the man.

Daily Mail Australia contacted WA Police for comment.
