Footage captured the moment the eight-year-old dog came running up to two members of the public at Sefton Plaza just after 9am today.
One of the women created an anonymous post on a local Facebook page, looking for the owner of the dog.
“Just found this little poodle in Sefton Plaza,” she wrote.
Thanks to that post, Flossie was able to be reunited with her owner.
“I wish she could tell me what her adventures have been,” owner Ann-Louise Hordacre told 9News.
Flossie was back at home running around with her sister, Cali, within hours of being found.
“I just can’t say how terrible it’s been for me and what a nightmare it’s been for me,” Hordacre
“I just don’t want anyone to have to go through that.”
Hordacre thought she would never see Flossie again.
“Well, the cuddles haven’t stopped very much,” she said.
She recounted the moment she received the phone call to say the pooch had been found.
“I think I howled, it’s really hard for me to even remember because I was in shock.”
The vet said in the six days Flossie was missing she was well looked after.
The dog was given a clean bill of health.
“She wasn’t dehydrated which, you know in this weather, I was so worried about her,” Hordacre said.
Flossie was the only theft during a break-in at Hordacre’s Fullarton home last week.
Police are still hunting her dog napper and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
