A toddler has died after drowning in a farm dam in regional Victoria.

The toddler drowned near the town of Nagambie in the Whroo area, 120km north of Melbourne, at about 10am on Sunday.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said the toddler was found responsive after emergency services were called to the scene.

‘Sadly, the infant was unable to be revived and died at the scene,’ he said.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
