Friday’s broadcast of Today With Hoda & Jenna took a juicy turn when the hosts began discussing public hook-ups and canoodling.
A picture of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck kissing in a furniture store inspired Hoda Kotb to dish on a steamy hook-up of her own, momentarily derailing the entire segment.
“I think I should confess that one time when I was in New York, … dating someone here, we were in a furniture store and we had a full-on make out,” Kotb gushed. “In the middle of it I thought, I might get fired!”
Jenna Bush Hager peppered her with a million questions about the experience. “Did a sales associate ever come and say excuse me? Were you by yourself?” she asked.
Kotb replied, “You know what’s funny, I don’t recall. It was so edgy because I’m like, I could lose my whole job and it’s happening right now but I was kind of excited!” She later asked Bush Hager, “You know the feeling of like you’re making out in front of a window, or in public?”
Bush Hager did not seem to agree with the idea of public hook-ups. “Making out in front of a window? I’ve been in a relationship for almost 20 years,” she said. “We used to, but it’s like, at some point you can’t save that. You can save it.”
Kotb seemed shocked by her response. “What are you talking about? This is so not— who is this person?!” she said.

But Bush Hager doubled down, saying, “You don’t need to do it in a store because you have your own bedroom!”
Kotb fired back, “It’s not about needing!”
Bush Hager then began fanning herself. “Oh god, I’m uncomfortable,” she said with a laugh. She then asked Kotb if she really enjoyed the experience.
“It was totally sexy,” Kotb confessed. “And a turn on, yes.” When her co-host asked how her mother might feel about the story since she was most likely tuning in, Kotb shrugged and said, “She’ll think it’s cute.”
Go, Hoda!
This isn’t the first time the Today hosts have dished on their personal lives. Kotb previously shared that she had a steamy affair with a police officer to get over a “terrible breakup.”
