TikToker Who Got Scam Email From ‘Drew Barrymore’ Meets The Real Drew!

When TikToker Emily Feret got a scam email from a person claiming to be Drew Barrymore, she decided to have some fun with it. Instead of just deleting the email and going about her day, she created a funny video about the experience.

After the TikTok video went viral, she got an email from a producer at Barrymore’s show asking for more information. While on a Zoom call with the producer, she surprisingly ended up on the show talking to Barrymore herself. As the two were talking about the scam email, Barrymore told Feret she was going to fly her out to New York City to meet her and be on the show. That day finally arrived last week and on Friday, which happened to be Feret’s birthday, the episode aired.

It’s basically been a dream come true for TikTok content creator Feret who’s a big fan of Barrymore. First, she got to talk to the actress on a Zoom call and appeared on her show. And now, add a trip to New York City and meeting Barrymore in person to her list of amazing things that have occurred since opening that scam email.

During Friday’s show, Barrymore introduced Feret as a guest on the show during the “Drew’s News” segment. “Isn’t it funny that like some stalkery fraud came to find you and here we are?,” Barrymore asked Feret. “Like this scammer literally brought us together.”

Feret then told Barrymore that the show will be airing on her birthday, making it the best birthday present ever. Barrymore asked Feret, “What, if you could, you know, what ideally would be a good thing to get you for your birthday?” and Feret responded, “Just being here is so great. And I got to see New York and I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity.”

Barrymore said that wasn’t enough. She made a $5,000 donation in Feret’s name to Feed My Starving Children organization, the same one she donated the original $250 Barrymore sent to Feret. She also gifted Feret a $1,000 Spa Finder gift card as her birthday present.

One follower wanted to know if you see is what you get with Barrymore asking, “Is she just as magical as she seems? What a wonderful moment!” Feret responded, “Even more magical.”

From the plane ride to her trip through the city to get to her hotel room and everything in between, Feret enjoyed all the wonders of New York City. She even tried real New York City bagel!

Feret exclusively told The Blast, “I’ve never been to New York. It will likely be a mom trip and I’m just so excited to see a place I’ve never been to and to meet Drew Barrymore.” And now two dreams have come true for the popular TikToker who shares her “normal” life with her more than 1.2 million loyal followers.
