Police have captured two inmates who escaped from a Queensland prison – with a statewide manhunt still underway for a third man. 

The three men escaped from the Palen Creek Correctional Centre, located about 100 kilometres southwest of Brisbane, on Sunday. 

Corrective Services officers joined police in the hunt for Daniel Ian Badcock, 32; Osiah Pilton, 20; and Antonio David Mene, 28.

Queensland Police on Monday confirmed Daniel Badcock and Osiah Pilton were found. 

The two men were intercepted by police at Northgate at about 10am and are in police custody.

Badcock is serving a one year sentence for possession and weapons charges, while Pilton is serving one year and nine months for a break and enter offence. 

However, 28-year-old Antonio David Mene still remains at large, with police continuing their search for the escapee. 

Mene is described as 170cm tall, light build, 73 kgs with brown, dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair. 

He has a number of tattoos on his body including, a full calf tattoo, four dots on thumb and “Menzie”near thumb. 

Mene is serving three years for vehicular offences.

The investigation is being led by regional police and is being assisted by Crime and Intelligence Command Corrective Service Detectives and Queensland Corrective Service Intelligence Analysts. 

Police are urging anyone who sees urged anyone who has seen the men not to approach them but to call triple zero.
