Three horses who gave Sydney drivers the shock of their lives this morning after they were spotted galloping through traffic have been safely recaptured by police.

The trio – believed to have escaped their home in Brighton Le Sands – were found all the way in Taren Point, almost 10 kilometres away.

A very confused South Sydney local named Michael spoke to 2GB’s Ben Fordham this morning saying he “had to pinch himself” when he looked out his car window.
