The crash took place on the D’Aguilar Highway near Nanango, north-west of Brisbane, shortly before 6am.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

The driver of the truck, a man in his 50s, has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Queensland Ambulance said “multiple patients” were being assessed.

The highway is closed in both directions south of Nanango.
