Batches of specialty wine from a South Australian distillery have been recalled because of incorrect labelling and life-threatening allergy fears.

Three kinds of vermouth, a fortified wine flavoured with herbs and spices, from the Adelaide company 78 Degrees Distillery contained the undeclared allergen, sulphite.

The vermouth has been sold at bottle store Dan Murphy’s in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria; BWS in SA and liquor stores across the country.

The batch codes of the affected wines include: 22060 (Dry, Rosso, Rose), 22244 (Rosso), 22333 (Dry, Rosso, Rose).

Consumers who have a sulphites allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.
