In today’s TMI (Too Much Information) world, it seems as if it would be well-nigh impossible to have an old-time gossip dragon like a Louella Parsons holding deep, dark secrets and innuendos gleaned from ‘close associates’ over a celebrity’s head.





Are there any secrets anymore?

It sure seems as if people can’t wait to rush and gush – something they think is worth sharing happens, something that the world simply must know occurs. So they whip out the iPhone for a quick Instagram or TikTok update. No matter how banal, downright stupid, or literally gross, it’s all there for the sharing.

Two of the most irritating practitioners of the art of sharing while pretending not to are, of course, the Dumb Prince and his Stupid Wife. They play ‘we want out privacy’ coyly while it works…

 

…but then have no problems shoving themselves to the front of the ‘look at me’ line in the most cringe-inducing fashion possible when the world ignores them.

But whatever fame these two pathetic, classless grifters have, it’s fleeting, and they are more of a laughingstock at this point than remotely the oversized figures their egos have themselves painted as.

People felt sorry for little Harry at one point. But that’s long been squandered away, and whatever affection remains is more for fond memories of what was than the present trainwreck.

Hence, the Sussexes’ public sharing becomes more cringey with each increasingly desperate attempt to claw back what can no longer be recovered – affection and attention.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is another couple who valued privacy, or so we were told.

The Obamas.

They were lionized by the public almost from the very beginning. The Obamas found themselves wrapped in the warm embrace of Americans as a young family headed by two sharp professionals, who would bring some verve back into a staid old White House, maybe even Washington itself.





Remember when Michelle fearlessly took a shot at Hillary for not being ‘able to run her own house’?

Oh, good times, good times.

But that was years ago, THAT Michelle Obama. The one who would only share gems about being ‘proud of her country for the first time,’ and things of that ilk.

Nothing personal and we were assured repeatedly the First Lady was a ‘very private person.’ Although she already had the ‘Michelle is the victim here‘ theme well under development by 2018.

…MICHELLE OBAMA: For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well but because I think people are hungry for change.

I was accused of not loving my country (laughter). First of all, after not wanting to be in politics but supporting my husband because I love my country – I mean, my decision to support him had nothing to do with what was good for me. And the notion that because I love this country so much, I’m willing to sacrifice a good man that I think would be good for the country to do it and a decision to not support him would be selfish – how am I not going to fully support him? If he weren’t my husband, I’d want him to run.

And here I am working through it out there, you know, rolling up my sleeves. And I get accused of being not just – you know, not just someone who doesn’t love their country but as an angry black woman. I mean, I wasn’t always beloved.





Something has radically changed that ‘very private person’ to the point where she can’t seem to keep her mouth shut.

The TMI is so mind blowing in its scope, and so out of left field inappropriate, you wonder what the frick frack is going on.

Has Michelle Obama become so wealthy, so wrapped in her ‘beloved’ cocoon, that she feels spewing whatever comes into her head is what the world needs at the moment?

Or, maybe, what the world owes her for her suffering through the ordeal of being first lady, or worse – Barack’s wife?

THE HORROR

First her speech at last summer’s Democratic National Convention had some real hoots in it.

But it was when she started an unenthusiastically received podcast with her brother, after fending off rumors of trouble in Obama’s paradise, that the real TMI started flowing.

There was the inexplicably dense comment back months ago about her expenses while First Lady.

The guffaws and choking noises from folks listening to her whine could be heard around the world.





…While the First Family does cover personal expensed they also had a $400,000 salary, $50,000 expense allowance, $100,000 travel account, and $19,000 for entertainment (http://uscode.house.gov). Official events? Fully covered. So, what’s the complaint?  

The Obamas racked up $114M in travel costs over 8 years, including $450,295 for a Martha’s Vineyard vacation in 2016 . Post-presidency, they’re worth $70M+, living in sprawling estates . Meanwhile, 44M Americans faced food insecurity in 2024 , and the average family spends $7,000/year on groceries . Michelle’s memoir Becoming earned millions, yet she laments White House food bills? This isn’t just tone-deaf,it’s a slap in the face to working families who can’t afford basics. Her absence from Trump’s 2025 inauguration  already raised eyebrows, but this comment cements her disconnect.  

The Obamas thrived on taxpayer-funded perks while in office, then cashed in big afterward. Spare us the victim narrative,most Americans would dream of such ‘struggles.’ What’s your take?  

Is this entitlement at its worst?

Get outta Dodge.

Also, just so you know, ‘black women don’t articulate our pain.’

Yee, jeez.

Michelle’s had a good time gadding about and hobnobbing because of the podcast – gushing over the Springsteens, for instance.

…Last week, the two spoke with Bruce Springsteen when Obama admitted to admiring the relationship between the “Born in the U.S.A” singer and his wife, Patti Scialfa.

“I marvel at you and Patti and the work that you all have done,” she said. “You and Patti have been couple mentors for me and Barack for quite some time.”

And is still explaining why she couldn’t be bothered to attend the very few functions a former First Lady of the United States is expected to attend.

… “My decision to skip the inauguration, what people don’t realize, or my decision to make choices at the beginning of this year that suited me were met with such ridicule and criticism,” she said. “People couldn’t believe that I was saying no for any other reason, that they had to assume that my marriage was falling apart, you know.”

She reiterated that she simply didn’t go to the inauguration because it was the best decision for her.

“I’m here really trying to own my life and intentionally practice making the choice that was right for me,” she explained. “And it took everything in my power to not do the thing that was right, or that was perceived as right, but do the thing that was right for me. That was a hard thing for me to do.”

If it’s right for Michelle, that’s all that matters. She shouldn’t be inconvenienced. She’s done enough for us.

But as far as TMI, Bruce couldn’t have been that great a marriage mentor, because Michelle whacked old Barack in public again. This one has people pretty disgusted.





Lord, woman. Just open your mouth and let fly.

Now you could make a case that maybe she was trying to say the name would be too heavy a burden to carry, but dang. The way her brother jumped in to save her by saying the Obamas had ‘borrowed their two boys‘ makes you wonder if there isn’t something a little deeper and a little more savage going on. 

No one needs or wants to hear or see any of this play out. Really.

We don’t.

Dignity and grace are underrated virtues these days.

OMG, are they ever.
