The Wire star Lance Reddick has died aged 60 – just days after failing to turn up to a premiere in New York.
Reddick – who played Cedric Daniels in the hit TV series – is understood to have died from natural causes, law enforcement officials told TMZ.
Tributes poured in for the ‘incredibly talented’ actor after his body was reportedly discovered in his home in Studio City, California at 9.30am on Friday.
Just yesterday he uploaded a shot of himself curled up with his three dogs at home to an Instagram post about National Puppy Day.
Reddick was in the middle of a promotional tour for his franchise John Wick in which he starred as the concierge Charon.

On Wednesday evening he was due to attend a premiere for Wick 4 alongside co-star Keanu Reaves but failed to turn up. Reddick did not explain his absence.
He was also reportedly scheduled to appear on The Kelly Clarkson show next week.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the actor’s representatives for comment.
Yesterday he posted several photos of himself with his three dogs in a promotional post for Hard Rock hotels.
He wrote: ‘On screen and off, it’s no surprise I love spoiling my dogs.’
And three days ago he shared a video of himself joyously singing ‘and the beat goes on’ as his canines bark in the background.
Reddick will be best remembered for his role as Daniels on the hit HBO crime series The Wire, appearing in all 60 episodes alongside stars including Dominic West and Idris Elba.
He also had recurring roles in hit TV shows Fringe, Oz, Bosch, and Lost and was the voice of Commander Zavala in the Destiny video games.
And he made appearances in Blockbuster films Godzilla Vs. Kong and Angel Has Fallen.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie Reddic, daughter Yvonne Nicole Redick and son Christopher Reddick.

Stars raced to Twitter to pay tribute to the ‘incredibly talented’ actor as news of his death broke on Friday.
‘A man of great strength and grace,’ said Wendell Pierce, his co-star on The Wire.
‘As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class. A sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family.
‘An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP’

Guardians of the Galaxy actor James Gunn said: ‘Lance Reddick was an incredibly nice guy, and an incredibly talented actor.
‘This is heartbreaking. My love goes out to all his family, friends, and collaborators.’
Fans shared their favorite clips of Reddick including one scene on The Eric Andre show where he startles the host in a satirical skit.
One Twitter user wrote: ‘RIP Lance Reddick. One of my favorite actors and the only person to ever scare Eric Andre.
‘Always gave the performance of his life in anything he was in from John Wick to The Wire to Fringe. He will be dearly missed.’
The son of Dorothy Gee and Solomon Reddick, Lance was born in Baltimore, Maryland, where he attended the private Quaker school Friends School of Baltimore.
He went on to study music at the Peabody Preparatory Institute, before moving into acting.
In the early 90s, Reddick attended the Yale School of Drama, eventually receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1994.
Despite landing high-profile roles in TV shows such as The Wire, Reddick managed to keep his private life out of the spotlight.
