The untapped Yankees power of Jazz Chisholm Jr.: ‘Never put a ceiling on it’

The sky is the limit with Jazz Chisholm Jr., his manager said a few hours before this season began.

“I mean,” Aaron Boone said with a grin, “you can ask him.”

It’s true. Over the course of Yankees spring training, Chisholm shared some of the lofty expectations he had for himself, which included being an All-Star, Silver Slugger, Gold Glover and even potentially an MVP.

A few weeks into the season, Chisholm has another race on his hands in his own made-up stat: Home Runs plus Stolen Bases (is that HPS, a la OPS?). Chisholm has told Aaron Judge he is leading him.
