The Unconventional Way Anna Faris And Chris Pratt Got Married

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have quite the unique story when it comes to their ill-fated marriage, as they got married on a whim while sick with food poisoning. Really. The star of “The House Bunny” opened up about their, erm, less than idyllic wedding day to The Independent in 2014, admitting, “We were in Bali suffering from food poisoning — the really rough kind, you know, sharing the toilet.” How romantic! But, joking aside, it sounds like the moment they decided to throw caution to the wind and actually tie back in 2009 the knot was pretty cute. Faris was looking for chicken broth on the hotel’s menu to help their tummy issues, which is when she saw their hotel did weddings. “While still feverish, Chris said, ‘Let’s do it.’ So the staff found us some traditional Balinese clothes and a local priest. We had no idea what was going on, but we came back married.” Now THAT is a unique wedding story!

Faris dished a little more on the big day on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” explaining they were actually in Bali for someone else’s wedding and decided to go for it after the other guests left. That resulted in them having a Balinesian style ceremony only attended by the two of them, the officiant, and a hotel worker who filmed it all. “It was great. It was beautiful. It was a really special, spontaneous deal,” Faris gushed.
