Married At First Sight groom Jesse Burford has broken his silence after his TV wife Claire Nomarhas ‘cheated’ on him with another contestant.
On Monday night, Claire, 31, admitted to Jesse she locked lips with fellow groom Adam Seed during a drunken night out, which left the marriage celebrant reeling and ultimately confronting the 35-year-old business manager in an explosive stand-off.
During an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning, Jesse, 30, said he always had doubts about Adam’s intentions when he first came on the show.
‘It’s pretty disappointing man. Because he did say at the bucks party “what a great group of boys. Let’s all do the right thing by each other. Let’s all have each other’s backs,”‘ he explained to hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson.
‘I remember hearing that and thinking, “I wonder if he’s the guy that’s gonna snake someone.” And frickin weeks later, he snakes me! I was like, wow.’

Jackie pointed out that Jesse must have a great sense of intuition.
‘You always felt there that something happened that night and they made you like the crazy one. That’s what would have been so hurtful,’ she said to Jesse.
‘Yeah. When Claire told me at Hugo and Tayla’s wedding, I was just bewildered,’ Jesse replied.
‘I was just processing all of the hypocrisy, my confusion, my shock, my anger all at once. It was a lot.’

It comes after a remorseful Claire finally admitted to Jesse that she had shared a drunken kiss with Adam while attending intruders Tayla Winter and Hugo Armstrong’s wedding.

‘I’ve broken your trust. That night that we all went out and Adam and I went outside we kissed,’ she confessed to her TV husband.
A stunned Jesse replied: ‘I knew it. I knew something was suss with that. I had a feeling and now I know my suspicions were absolutely founded.
‘And Adam… What a snake. I don’t know what type of kiss you had out front but I’m imagining it was more than what we had in the last three weeks.’
Viewers slammed Claire’s behaviour, calling her a ‘gaslighter’ and dishonest because she had earlier denied the accusation and said Jesse was just being ‘jealous’.
