Nothing says summer like a new Wes Anderson movie, and soon you’ll be able to watch the filmmaker’s latest from the comfort of your own home, when The Phoenician Scheme releases on digital platforms tomorrow.
Like many recent Anderson movies, The Phoenician Scheme cast is sprawling and star-studded. The cast includes, but is not limited to, Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis. Del Toro stars as Anatole “Zsa-Zsa” Korda, a wealthy industrialist and arms dealer who has been dodging more and more harrowing assassination attempts. After his latest brush with death gives him a peak at the afterlife, he attempts to make amends with his daughter (Mia Threapleton).
The Phoenician Scheme was not a box office hit compared to Anderson’s other recent films, but perhaps more people will be willing to watch the film at home. But before you fork over $20 to rent The Phoenician Scheme, you should know that we do expect to see The Phoenician Scheme streaming on Peacock before the end of the summer.
Where to watch the Wes Anderson movie The Phoenician Scheme on streaming:

The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the film costs $24.99 to buy a digital copy, and $19.99 to rent. The Phoenician Scheme is not yet streaming on any subscription streaming services, but we do expect to see The Phoenician Scheme streaming on Peacock soon.
Peacock currently offers two subscription types: Premium with ads and Premium Plus ad-free. Peacock Premium costs $7.99/month, while Premium Plus costs $13.99/month.
You can save a bit by subscribing to one of Peacock’s annual plans, which give you 12 months for the price of 10. These cost either $79.99 with ads or $139.99 without ads.
When will The Phoenician Scheme movie be streaming on Peacock?
The Phoenician Scheme‘s streaming release date on Peacock has not yet been announced, but we know that The Phoenician Scheme will stream on Peacock eventually, because it is a Focus Features/Universal movie, and Peacock is the streaming service owned by Universal. All the new Universal theatrical movies end up streaming on Peacock, though the wait period has varied by title.
Another Focus Features movie, Black Bag, began streaming on Peacock on May 2, which was about one-and-a-half months after the movie opened in theaters, and about one month after the film released on digital.
If The Phoenician Scheme follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie streaming on Peacock in about one month, around early August 2025.
This is all speculation. Universal has not had a consistent digital release strategy, The Phoenician Scheme took longer to come to digital than Black Bag. It’s possible, therefore, that The Phoenician Scheme will also take longer to come to Peacock. If you want to watch The Phoenician Scheme right away, you can buy or rent it online.
