It was a match made in Knicks heaven, Jalen Brunson and Tom Thibodeau.
Brunson developed into one of the league’s premier guards under Thibodeau’s watch, the coach he had known for virtually his entire life.
Together, they brought the Knicks back from two decades of near irrelevance, reaching the Eastern Conference finals this spring for the first time in 25 years.
But now, Thibodeau is gone, fired after five successful seasons.
