New numbers have revealed the jobs that received the biggest pay bumps in the 2024 financial year – and a clear theme emerged from it.

The Australian Financial Review, citing research by consultants Mercer, found that engineering and science workers were among the most in-demand around Australia, along with repair and maintenance workers.

This is partly at least due to the ongoing push to transition from fossil fuels, which requires a big workforce.
