That Was Quick: Biden Is Getting Nasty Again

For one bright, shining moment Joe Biden made the case for toning down the rhetoric, turning down the political temperature, and unifying the country.

Of course, he didn’t mean it, but at least you would have thought that he would recognize that getting nasty two days after an assassin shot Donald Trump, leaving one dead spectator and others grievously wounded.

But no, this is Joe Biden. He is, at base, a nasty person who cannot NOT tell a lie and smear his opponents. It is his nature, and the only thing holding him back now is his mental incapacity.

Biden’s position is that the problem with heated rhetoric is entirely on Republicans, and nothing he has ever said or done has been anything but loving and unifying. All that talk of existential threat to democracy? About MAGA extremists? About this being the last election if Trump wins?

All totally normal, says Joe Biden. It’s Trump who is the nasty one.

Of course, when J.D. Vance was announced, the Biden campaign went straight back to it’s old form. Fewer than 48 hours after a man took a shot at President Trump, they released this:

“Enabling Extreme MAGA Agenda at Any Cost!” is not low temperature. Nor are many of the other things Biden has been saying, including repeating the Charlottesville hoax. Even after it has been extensively and recently debunked, Biden goes there because he has nothing else to say.

And, of course, Donald Trump is still an existential threat.

Biden has spent years attacking not just Trump, but all his supporters. He calls us domestic enemies, extremists, and even terrorists.,

It’s all he’s got. His campaign is collapsing before our eyes, and his only way of showing energy is to yell and attack. It is his default, his comfort zone, and his entire claim to remain the Democrat candidate for president.

Biden leads a party that has labeled riots necessary to public health, embraced people for the genocide of Jews in Israel, and whose celebrities have literally wished for the death of President Trump.

Biden is flailing, and when he flails he gets nasty. He gets nasty with opponents. He gets nasty with supporters. He gets nasty with citizens. It is his way, the “dog-faced pony soldier.”

Biden simply doesn’t have it in him to rise to the moment, and it’s not due to his decline. He never has had it in him. He is a nasty old man, and was a nasty young man when he was elected.

Expect President Biden’s campaign to go lower and lower because that is all he has.
