Terrifying video shows the moment a worker’s platform swings out of control and into the side of a skyscraper in Dubai, smashing its windows and sending giant shards of glass falling onto the streets hundreds of feet below.
Workers left dangling hundreds of feet in the air grip onto the sides of their small cage as it is sent flying when stormy weather suddenly hits, footage shows.
Strong winds send the cradle, which is suspended over the side of a soaring glass skyscraper, swinging out of control.
It spins and flies metres back and forth, with the force of it colliding into the building causing large sections of the side of the building to crash down.
Smashing glass can be heard ringing out as the cradle slams into it, ricocheting off and then slamming back into the building – sending more glass to the ground.
