Police have released CCTV vision of a terrifying armed robbery at a bottle shop on the Gold Coast on New Year’s Day.

Police allege a man entered the Robina Parkway business around3:30pm and threatened an employee with a knife, demanding cash.

The male employee complied and no one was physically injured.

Vision shows a man wielding a knife as he enters the Robina store, before pointing the weapon and an empty bag at the store attendant. 

He is seen stopping halfway through the robbery to shut the door to the storefront, before leaving the scene on foot with a quantity of cash and alcohol.

The man is described as having an average build, and was wearing a black jumper, black pants with a white strip and a face mask.

Investigations are continuing.

Anyone who recognises the man, or has information that could assist with investigations, is urged to contact police.
