The fight between more than 30 people broke out at McBurnie Drive, Kurunjang, in Melbourne’s north-west, just after 7pm on Friday.
By the time police arrived the group had dispersed – but they found three men, aged 15, 18 and 22, injured at the scene.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the 18-year-old was declared dead.

They told Nine News he had only recently graduated from high school.
