Telstra has been struck by a massive outage – with several customers complaining about their mobile data isn’t working.
In a statement, the telco said: ‘We are looking into an issue impacting some Telstra mobile customers nationally.
‘Customers may be experiencing a loss of mobile data services. We are urgently working to resolve the issue’.
According to the site Downdetector, customers of the telco have been experiencing issues since 12.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
One Twitter user said: ‘It seems like @Telstra are having some sort of mobile data outage in Rose Bay (in Sydney’s east) at the moment so I’ve resorted to connecting to the free Wi-Fi from one of their remaining telephone boxes.’
The latest outage appears to be affecting internet, phone and Wi-Fi, however it is understood the issue has since been resolved.

According to the site Downdetector, customers of the telco have been experiencing issues since 12.30pm on Wednesday afternoon
Complained another: ‘Nothing whatsoever in Coober Pedy, absolutely dead! Trying to get power connected as we just moved into a home and they’re unable due to the network outage.’
‘I haven’t had access for weeks … just inane, useless messages like ‘Your internet connection has dropped out’,’ a third wrote.
It is still unclear what has caused the latest outage, which appears to be affecting Telstra customers from at least four states.
Customers have complained of connectivity issues in Toowoomba, southeast Queensland, Sydney’s east, Perth and northern South Australia.
