A teenager is the latest to be charged over the riot outside a Sydney church that followed the stabbing of a bishop last week.

Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was delivering a sermon being streamed online when he was stabbed allegedly by a 16-year-old at the Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley last Monday.

The teenager was charged with riot, destroy or damage property and possess unauthorised pistol.

He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court tomorrow.

It comes after police yesterday released images of 12 men they said they believed could assist the investigation, and called on the community to help identify them.

Multiple arrests have already been made.
