The victim, who is 16, was surfing at Old Bar near Taree on the Mid North Coast when the Boxing Day attack happened.
He was bitten in the leg, and was driven to hospital by a friend.

Gory images clearly show the teen’s leg punctured by deep tooth marks.
His surfboard was also damaged, with deep holes made by the creature’s teeth.
